I BELIEVE

There is but one true God:

Who is ever existent.

Who is unchanging.

That the Holy Spirit, is not a separate personage, but is God's life-giving force.

That the Word of God is not another person, but is God's spoken thoughts.

That God created the heavens, the earth, and everything in them through His Spirit and His Word.

Jesus Christ

That he is the only begotten Son of God

That the Holy Spirit created Jesus in the womb of the virgin, Mary, thus making God his father.

That God gave him all power in heaven and earth.

That the Word of God took the form of man in the person of Jesus.

That in Jesus dwelt the fullness of the Godhead bodily-the Spirit and the Word of God.

That he is the savior of the world-the Messiah.

That Jesus lived a sinless life, and died as a propitiation for the sins of all that believe in him.

That he gives eternal life to all who believe in him.

That he rose from the grave in victory over death.

That he has gone to heaven to prepare us a dwelling place.

That he will return to judge the earth, defeat Satan, and set up his kingdom on earth.

That at his return, the saints will meet him in the air, and reign with him for a thousand years.

That when all is accomplished, he will turn over the kingdom to God.

That he will sit at the right hand of God forever.

The Holy Spirit:

Is the Spirit of God; that God is a Spirit

Is the Father of Jesus.

Is the Father of our spirits.

In the fallen state of man:

That in the beginning, man was created in the image of God.

That Adam and Eve, by disobeying God, surrendered their first estate-forfeiting eternal life for all mankind.

That mankind had need of a savior that did not inherit their sinful nature.

In salvation by faith-through believing in Jesus.

That being saved is being born again, of the Spirit.

That at salvation:

The Spirit of God gives us eternal life.

That we receive the spirit of adoption.

That God becomes the Father of our spirits.

In the further work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers:

That He baptizes believers into the Body of Christ.

That He gives Spiritual gifts to believers, as He desires, for the edification of the body.

That He calls individual believers into different ministries.

That He will lead us into all truth.

That He Is the Spirit of Truth.

That He will teach us of Jesus.

That He empowers believers to be witnesses for Jesus.

That He gives us power over ALL power of the enemy.

That Satan is the enemy of our souls.

That he fell from his first estate in heaven by allowing pride to rule him.

That he usurped man's God-given estate by causing Adam and Eve to disobey God.

That he is the god of this world.

That he is the prince of the powers of the air.

That he appears as an angel of light.

That the kingdoms of the world are presently his to rule.

That he hates, and wants to destroy man.

That he is the master of deception, the father of the lie.

That he has always tried, and will continue to try, to destroy God's chosen people, Israel, and the saints of God.

That he will try to rule the world through his evil human accomplice-the Beast, also known as the Antichrist.

That he will be cast into the bottomless pit during the thousand-year reign of Christ.

That he will be released for a time to deceive the nations again, and lead them in a war against Christ.

That, in the end, he will be cast into the lake of fire, to suffer torment forever and ever.

The reward of the believers:

That we will be rewarded according to our faithfulness.

That our works will be burned by fire whereas only the ones done for Christ will last.

That we will rule with Christ during his millennial rein.

That we will spend eternity in the presence of God and Jesus.

The Judgement of the ungodly:

That those whose names are not written in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire with Satan, the Beast, and the False Prophet, which is the second death.
